I really hope and pray that my can spend vacation this holiday season. As a matter of fact, we already have a reservation ticket to Philippine Airlines (PAL) but we are on waiting list due to the peak season.
We are partly going to use and redeem my sister-in-law’s accumulated Mabuhay Miles points. I reserved five days on any open flight schedule available and every day, I have been calling PAL to follow up if there is an open flight schedule already. Three days of follow up and there is still no open schedule for us since I am reserving for a family of three tickets.
Yesterday, I started to book online. I was surprised that there are still available flight ticket for the said dates only if I will pay for it. So my question is, how come PAL claims that booking hotline flight schedule are all fully booked and I am on waiting list when in fact, if you are going to book online there are still open slots?
Are they prioritizing those who are paying for the fare than to those who are just redeeming their Mabuhay Miles points in to a free ticket?
