A few months ago, we were on search for the possible garden wedding venue along Antipolo Rizal Area when I happened to have found the Thunderbird Resort website. Photos online are captivating but since the name “Thunderbird” for us seemed not attractive to us (as we all know it is also a brand name of rooster feeds), we ignored it. So we decided to have the wedding in another venue in Antipolo.

All things were set up in the other venue. We already booked and paid, and the couple are now on search for the possible honeymoon place since they prefer Camp John Hay in Baguio but it could be too far for them. Since his husband’s parents would be coming from Belgium, they could not be left behind for how many days because of the parents’ old age. I suggested we visit Thunderbird Resort in Binangonan, yes, the one I found online few months age since they need another place to stay but not too far away from Metro Manila. Going there also allowed us to see if the photos on their website are too good to be true. Since her husband to be prefers the mountain and country side over the sea, I thought he’d like it. It’s just a minute away from the place of their wedding in Antipolo.

When we got there, the couple was amazed by the beauty of the resort although there are still places on your way to the resort that are still on development. The resort is new. It just started to be in operation four years ago. In front of the hotel resort, you could find the open pool overlooking to the golf course. You could also see the Laguna de Bay and the Metro Manila skyline. Beside the pool, there is a gazebo type restaurant where you could hang around.

The photos are really good to be true but so is the actual ambience of the Thunderbird resort. It is a nice place to relaxed. The couple regrets that they already booked for their wedding venue elsewhere.

Thunderbird resort is located in Binangonan, Rizal. The famous landmark is to take the road straight in front of Makro Antipolo maybe 20-30 minutes drive from there depending on traffic. The resort has 43 beautiful rooms, 8-hole championship golf course, restaurants and casino.
