After dreaming and praying of Digital SLR camera and after our Almighty Father Yahweh granted my wish, I am now praying again for an inexpensive lens but a good and recommended one. I wish for lens that I could use for travel and portrait photos. I also prefer lens that I could use especially for my sister-in-law up coming wedding.

I don’t have an expensive gift for her only to have her pre-wedding and wedding photos memorable and the best one. I want to take her photos that I could be proud of to give as a gift. I have searched for good lens considering my budget. I cannot afford expensive lens so I am just searching for an affordable one.

There’s a lot of affordable lens online especially if I will have it outside the country but I am afraid of the way they will ship it. I still wanted to buy it from those stores with good material handling especially since it is a camera lens.

Hopefully I could have this dream lens. After all, I know even the scripture said “only believed and you will have it”.

Last night my wife asked me to drop her off to Conti’s Pastry Shop and Restaurant to buy her favorite leche flan. Since I didn’t want to park the car I had to drive around while I wait for her. But as I was driving around Serendra, I managed to study some of the features of her digital camera and took some featured shots around Serendra and Market Market while I drove slowly.

I made several rounds before she was done buying her dessert but I already took lots of photos. There is really a lot of advantages if your camera has large memory cards because you could take pictures as many as you want.

As long us you have a chance you could not stop yourself from taking pictures and select all the beautiful shots you have made by stroke of luck.

It’s been my dream to become a photographer who owns a great camera. I couldn’t sleep every night thinking how and when to buy my dream DSLR camera. I have been saving for it but I have to allocate my savings for my son’s school tuition fee.

I can’t stop thinking every time I see beautiful photographs like of those taken during the Opening of Beijing Olympics. I know I could take much better photographs than those I see if only I already have my dream DSLR camera. I wish I was one of those who captured those breathtaking moments.

I started my flair for photography 10 years ago but because all of my SLR camera were damaged by wear and tear, I have ignored my hobby for a while but my passion for taking photos is still there running with in my nerves. Every time I see people carrying and taking photos with their SLR camera, I realized what I’ve been missing. Could it be just envy or just a pang of delayed gratification?

Photography is really one of my dream careers but my biggest dream is to give my son the best education he could ever have. I know I could have my dream camera someday, yet I could let my self or anybody deprive my son of a better education.

For now I just take the shots on my cell phone camera. Hopefully in Almighty Yahweh’s time, he can give me one through someone or whatever means He will deem best for me.

I discovered one form of art. Actually the name was taken from a commercial trademark but it is related to photography. Forgive me on this but I am not sure whether my definition of this is correct. I was just writing this post as a person who loves photography. I just want also to explore this world which is related to photography and it is called Lomography.

It is actually the commercial trademark of Lomographische AG from Austria for products related to photography. I have seen this episode on TV and was fascinated by those photograph results from this kind of camera. Since I enjoy discovering photography, I hope to be able to give it to you someday.

According to Wikipedia, lomography emphasizes casual snapshot photography. Characteristics such as over-saturated colors, off-kilter exposure, blurring, “happy accidents,” and alternative film processing are often considered part of the “lomographic technique.” Users are encouraged to take a lighthearted approach to their photography and use these techniques to document everyday life, as the Lomo LC-A’s small size, simple controls, and ability to shoot in low light encourages candid photography and photo reportage

Traveling can be the best opportunity to take great photos. If you are planning a trip, one of the most important things you will never forget is to bring your camera with you. If you’re traveling alone or with a family, try to bring tr pod also. Advance planning can avoid frustration and instead great memories and album. I’m the type who do take photos every time I travel. If you find this interesting, these are my tips based on my experience and some of my friend tips: 

1. Bring camera  bag or pack – If you don’t have a camera or custom camera bag for your camera and accessories, a small backpack or purse will do.
2. Bring extra battery or charge battery to avoid losing some moments shots or a perfect shots in front of you because your battery drain or die.
3. If you’re using film camera, bring extra films.
4. If you’re using digital camera you, must have either additional memory card or stick don’t waste your time transferring photos on your laptop. Sometimes laptop costs you extra laggage.  Stop wasting your time erasing photos from your camera memory or you risk accidentally erasing some of the best shots (it happened to me). Sometimes a common frustration is being ready to take photo and realizing that you’re out of space or memory or out of film in a remote area where no available store that sells your kind of film.
5. Small portable or big tripod is important too. If you want to document your travel and you wanted to see your self in the place and there no one there to take some photos or knows how to use your camera. Sometimes if you will ask someone to take a shot and he doesn’t know how to use the camera like what happened to us in Baguio. We requested a waiter to take us a photo. It took the waiter almost 20min to take just 3 shots and the results are not so good. We are not in focus and  sometimes we’re cut. Tripod is invaluable when taking highly composed shots, low light pictures, or capturing a great photo of friends and family at a get-together.
6. Different techniques can also be used while taking some photos. In digital photography, the key is to take multiple shots or photographs of the same scene and later select the best. It’s better in digital photography as you have enough storage to spare but its hard and expensive in film photography as what I was doing before.
7. When taking photos landscapes, object or landmark taking it in a wide angle is the best. Applicable if you’re using some wide angle lens such us 18mm wide.
8. Also try different vantage points for the same scene, and different angles for the composition. This helps to ensure that you have a broader range of compositions to choose from once you’re gone, as many trips only come once, so you might not have the opportunity to go back and take the picture again
9. When taking photos of landscapes, objects, or landmarks, a good technique is to start out by taking a photo with the widest angle your camera will allow, and then zoom in closer until you are tightly framing the landmark, people, or objects of interest for your photo. You can’t go back in time. Taking photos is a great way of capturing the memory, documents your past,  but don’t forget to enjoy the trip itself. This is just my simple advise and maybe the advise of some expert photographers as well. Enjoy what you do or what you are doing, enjoy the trip don’t miss out on the vacation itself, as well as miss the time spent with families or travel companions.
10.  Lastly, take good care of your camera and all of your accessories. All of your films and all of your memory sticks. I remember traveling to Ilocos, Laoag,  Baguio and Subic  in a straight once week of travel and I almost consumed 10 films, which I left in the taxi on our way back to our hotel!!!
