A month after we’ve been through a kansi (beef broth) feast during our last vacation in Negros, my wife discovered that there’s a resrtaurant in Allgero Center along Pasong Tamo extension who also offered kansi. Pat-Pat’s is a well known restaurant for its kansi in Ilo-Ilo City. It also has branches in Roxas until we realized that it also has two branches here in Metro Manila: one in Vizayan Avenue and another here in Makati.

After having our regular grocery time one weekend and as the cashier was printing our bill on tm-t88iv I asked my wife where we’d have our lunch and there she told me about the Kansi house she recently discovered.

For someone who’s exposed to the cosmopolitan lifestyle but is missing the provincial life in Ilo-ilo, Pat-Pat’s Kansi house will help bring you back that feeling because of this Kani’s distinct taste that’s unique to people in Ilo-ilo.
