Tragedy Like This

Flash floods brought by tropical storm Sendong made some places in Mindanao and Visayas submerge in more than 10 to 12 feet of water. This also affected some of the government offices in the said places.  Maybe this is already the right time for every office of the government handling some important documents to have their scanner software to at least to take good care of the important documents of the people. Just having them computerized may no longer be enough. As we saw in the news computers are also submerged in water and I’m not sure if they can still recover their records.

  • Sympathy

Our sympathy to the thousands of families affected by the recent storm that hit Mindanao provinces and some parts of Visayas, especially to those who lost their  love ones in this tragedy. As we saw those images that came out in the news, hundreds of bodies were just lying everywhere. These are men, women and children. There are still  bodies discovered dead after three days of that tragedy. As we all know, this is not nice to smell even your Black and Mild cigarette cannot  help apart from the fact that these are sad sights to see. We can only hope that they will be given a decent burial.

  • Sound System

I remember the time when I was still a little boy. My grandfather used to manage a band. This was why we have a small stage in our dining room during that time as it was where his band members used to practice. They used to play in some events and fiestas because the sound system then was not yet used. We used to have different musical instruments then but as the years had gone by and band members grew old, those also  retired. The only instrument left was with my uncle. He was a lead guitarist during that time and I remember it was his Fender Jaguar classic guitar. Until now he would still play with it once in a while.

  • Shirts Printing

“I’m sorry, my fault, I forgot you were an idiot.”, “I don’t have a license to kill. I have a learner’s permit.”, ”Where there’s a will… I want to be in it.” , “Alcohol and calculus don’t mix. Never drink and derive.”,  and  “My Dog Can Lick Anyone.” These are just some of the  quotes printed in some funny t shirts I saw. Almost anything you have in mind can now be expressed by printing them on your t shirts. But hopefully people can be responsible, just as in some social networking site twitters should also be responsible on what you want to express. We have to make sure what you express are still within the bounds of decency and will not hurt others’ feelings.

  • Long Vacation

With all the busy days to spend especially in the coming month of December, we can certainly manage to squeeze in our son’s school activities as well. We hope and pray that we can have a long, peaceful, stress-free and call free vacation. I wish to spend my vacation sitting in a quiet resort full of greens, surrounded by nature, doing some more time bathing in a clawfoot tub and waking up in the morning without worrying what to cook for breakfast. Hopefully another long holiday to be declared and that extra money will be around to go with for it.

  • Missing Out of Town

We really miss out of town trips. Asides from monetary constraints, we also suffered from minor sickness such as common colds and cough.  Although we are really not into some expensive places which make you think of having eyelash growth products afterwards because of a high accommodation fees albeit the poor service and amenities. We rather choose those affordable but comfortable places to stay. Hopefully we can find time to have it although long holiday and vacation have already passed.

  • Bonus Season

It is really hard to wake up early in the morning now after the high humidity and heat of the previous months and even during a rainy season. Now it is starting to get cold especially early in the morning. This cold or should I say very cold weather which is believed to last until February of the next year. December is fast approaching. Aside from the holiday, it is also bonus season. Just be careful about bringing items in the groceries and department store counters to have it pass through a posguys barcode scanner. Just buy what is really needed and important. It is also advisable to buy early now to avoid price increases.
