My cousin was very grateful when his application as cook in a cruise ship was approved. After tiring and stressful months of waiting from application, medical exams and visa applications, now his long wait and sacrifices are about to be over since he is now scheduled for boarding. There are a lot of Filipinos working in a cruise ship especially in a Royal Caribbean because the receive better compensation as well as the privilege to travel.

Computer reformatting for me is so tiring. That’s why I really take good care of my personal computer especially my important files. It is very sad if you will have problems like virus and hardware breakdown especially if hard drive is affected. You cannot be assured of what will happen to your important documents especially if you don’t have back ups. Only if you have document management software can be sure that your important files and document can be taken cared of.

For me, there’s no one else in the world that can exceed the original Belgian made chocolate when it comes to the delicious taste of chocolate. Once you tried it, you won’t come back to the old ones you used to have which tend to be unhealthy with loads of hydrogenated fate. A Belgian chocolate usually contains at least 60% pure cocoa. It seems like you can exchange an Ardeli’s or a Leonida’s for instance, for a Sony Sony VAIO. If you have tried it, it is like you will not be interested in other imported chocolates in the market today.

Why is it that during the rainy and windy weather, people love to eat? Last night, Metro Manila was hit by typhoon Basyang leaving the entire Manila without electricity for the whole day. I myself just turned to a transistor radio to have an update of the weather condition since you have nothing to do in times like this. There were no TV and internet. Aside from the typhoon, there were talks about what foods people love to eat during this season. Fried rice, dried fish with salted egg with tomatoes are the most favorite. This morning seems as though I took appetite enhancing vitamin that causes me to crave for food.

Fried egg and Spanish sardines for breakfast and “bulalo” for lunch during this cold weather are great choices. I also love to eat adobo so I cooked adobo for dinner. How about you? What do you love to eat during this weather?

With almost six months stint in Mindanao in my previous job, I can say that one of my memorable and unforgettable experiences was when I stayed in different cities, municipalities and province of Mindanao where I was still working in a pharmaceutical company. I am sure some of you who never been in Mindanao will only hear about how dangerous Mindanao is because of the “Abu Sayaf” and other Muslim rebels and those long years fights reported in news.

But there’s a lot of beautiful and peaceful places and great food in Mindanao. There are also many nice people Christians or Muslims.

I will never forget the “bulkachiong” which has become my favorite in Davao although I was also a regular Flyover Ihaw-Ihaw and Taps restaurant in Davao. The crispy tuna tail “buntot ng tuna” in General Santos, the beef nilaga in the road side restaurant when I would be on my way to Marvel “Sultan Kudarat,  the carinderia and durian I tried when I would be in Tagum and pansitan and bananas in Digos. The stopover food and hard boiled eggs of Bukidnon,  the concept of unlimited rice when you order chicken inasal in Cagayan de Oro and the restaurant in front of former President Macapagal – Arroyo in Iligan and with all the fruits of Mindanao. These are the things I really miss and dream of having once again.

By the way, if you happen to go there, please avoid lighting your cigars in public when in Davao because almost all of the public places are pegged as no smoking areas.

We were just curious when KFC  launched their barbecue rod, but only in our fourth attempt then we were finally able to try it in their branch outside the mall. It is always out of stocks. We have been getting irritated along with some customers because we would fall in line just to have it and yet after the long cue, the food crew will just simply say that it is out of stock. It wouldn’t be a problem if in the first place, they will at least place a note that it was already out of stock. But it was worth trying.  Hot rod is great and affordable with its java rice but my advise is to separate the barbecue sauce for those who don’t like the salty route.

If you are planning to try it especially for dinner, ask the food crew first if it is available to make sure. Also to prepare for some fat burner for I am sure you will have your extra rice.

I heard over the radio about the two anchors talking about “pa Burger” a local street slang expression if you ask someone to treat you free burger. There I heard about Malcom’s Burger that one of the anchor was asking for.

A few weeks ago I saw one branch of Malcom’s where I was on the road along McKinley Road at the Fort beside Joey’s Pepperoni. Hopefully I could try what is this outlet they are talking about for me to understand why Malcom’s burger is different from the others. If there are attributes that stand out besides the price can make you neglect your noxycut review reading.
