Last Sunday my wife asked me if we could have our weekly grocery in Shopwise hypermart since they don’t have parking fees and sometimes there’s a lot of snacks and drinks on sampling sprees — from breakfast cereals, chocolate cookies, noodle soup, juices, coffee, wine and yes, ice cream.
But since I don’t take my breakfast and I was not feeling well that time, I wanted to have a congee meal first. For some reason, I suddenly became hungry that morning. Lucky I saw a small booth of Mongkok at the ground floor. There is a lot of food both at the ground floor to choose from and shawarma is one of my favorites there.
Going back to Mongkok I was lucky that morning because of Mongkok congee and beef siopao allevaiated my hunger pangs. I wish I could visit the original Mongkok restaurant in Greenhills to have a taste in their beef and vegetable fried noodles.
