There are a lot of speculations that the Philippines tourism industry will really be affected due to the hostage crisis that took the lives of eight Hong Kong national tourists in the country. We know that Hong Kong and the Chinese communities are still mourning and maybe really hurt for what had happened. They demanded for proper justice. They are one of the top tourists that visit the country. As we all know the country already formed an investigating team for the thorough investigation of this case and hopefully they will release the report soon so that people will not have to use best eye cream anymore in waiting for the said report.

Maybe it will affect tourism but hopefully all of the anger will be lessened if proper investigation of the case and justice will really be done so that tourists will have the confidence that they are really safe in the country and will just have better sleep when they are in here.

I remember when I was still a Catholic, I would already started play some Christmas music even as early as this month. I think this is also the month when people in some places start to buy their snow boots because snow is about to fall. I still wish that I could hold and play in the snow someday.

In just one week, two major accidents involving bus resulted to deaths of 42 victims when a passenger bus from Baguio City fell into a 100-foot deep ravine in Benguet province and when three victims died including a former beauty titlist in Bicol. That’s why there are some recommendations to look into the capabilities of those drivers driving public utility vehicles.

Drug testing is one of the requirements before drivers can obtain a license and must also be looked into. Many believe it was really useless. Aside from those testing areas where you can only pay for it to have your drug testing result negative, the drivers about to renew their license will only stop using any drug for a month and already he can get away from it.

It must be random test although it is not permitted by law because every one has a right to refuse. That’s why it must be put into law that especially drivers driving public transport must have undergone truthful drug testing and those found out positive must given a chance to rehabilitate himself or will undergo detoxification like those available rapid opiate detox.

Drivers of public transport should undergo training and extensive examination before given a special drivers license that he is capable of driving. As we all know some of these drivers are only conductors and utility men just practicing to drive. Yet if they paid a certain amount to those corrupt officers in LTO, they can be given a professional drivers license without having to undergo examination and actual driving test. What they overlook is the fact that they are carrying the life of their passengers.

My cousin will be attending a seminar for a few days at the Diamond Hotel near Roxas Boulevard in Manila. Since her limited budget prevents her from staying in this five-star hotel, she is searching for an affordable place to stay along Roxas Boulevard which is near to the seminar’s venue. I am sure there are still available places like this. Anyway she is not really particular on the luxury of the place, available Jacuzzi, expensive log furniture and amenities. As long as it’s a comfortable place to stay, she’ll be fine with it. Any suggestion?

I miss mountain climbing, although I am not really a mountain climber. I love to be with my climber friends during some of their climbing sprees. It is really exciting at first especially if it is your first time. But you need to be prepared before climbing especially if it not an easy trail. Bring only the most important things like emergency kit, compass, binoculars, handheld radio or other communications, food and water.

My first climb is so unforgettable, I don’t have any preparation on it as I thought it was just an easy task to do. I was invited by my friend to be with them and I just did. I didn’t even have enough hours of sleep a night before our climb. The usual five hours of climb by the climbers were made into eight to nine hours. But after we reached the top of it, the feeling is so refreshing like all the tiredness and hardships paid off.

We used to bring my son Kyle’s PSP and Ipod during travel to entertain Kyle while we are on the road. But my son really loves to put something in his mouth while he is doing something like when he is front of computer, watching TV or even in reading books or while we are studying.

One time during one of our travels and he was busy watching movie on his Ipod, we looked at the headphone of his Ipod and it really looked crumpled and bitten by small rats and not functioning well anymore. As we all know it is expensive to buy an original Ipod headphone. We learned a lesson from to be very careful in letting him use his Ipod. Although I have my new headphone now which I even read some headphone reviews before buying it. We bought him portable speakers for him to use.

There’s a lot of Korean instant noodles in the market today. I even love most of these. However, they are more expensive compared to our local ones but what I love is that it has a new brand and taste. I am sure it is intended for use by Korean who are in the country today. That’s why it is more expensive although sometimes when they don’t get out of the shelves faster than expected, grocery stores offer them as buy one take one especially if they are near their expiryperiod. I hope and pray that there are trust worthy local wholesale distributors distributing here so that the quality and safety of the products are really taken cared of.
