Last night, my wife wanted to have dinner and her challenge for me is to look for a restaurant which we have never tried before. We both wanted to eat somewhere cozy and comfy but not at the expense of our budget. Since we know lots of people are celebrating Valentine’s Day, we expected that most restaurants are crowded. So we looked for a restaurant where we could park the car near the place, not congested and only a few people would be there.
We strolled around Bonifacio Global City although not in the area near the Boni High Streets. This time, we ended up in one of the streets where not all vehicles are passing through. We found a couple or restaurants in a street in front of St. Lukes Hospital in Global City. We thought this restaurant only catered to call center agents working in a near by call centers.
The place is Dell’s Food Hall. Here, you can have a variety of foods to choose from: from Pinoy merienda like “kakanin” and mami to main dishes which are rice-base. The food served are comparable to a carinderia and canteen but with an ambience of a cozy coffee shop. Prices are affordable relative to fastfood. Eating here will not affect your budget on your best acne treatments. You can have a set of food with one dish and rice for P99 and “kakanin” for P25. But I was mad when the security guard of the restaurant called my attention when I started to take some pictures inside.
I told him that they have no right to stop me from doing so he was later apologetic because that was the order of the owner. There is no law for now that prohibits someone from taking photos especially in a public place. The place is not a private club or restaurant so it could be considered as public place.
Don’t worry, I told myself after this post, I will never visit Dell’s anymore.

Congratulations to Karen (Dell’s), i’ am proud to be a dell’s employee 1986 to 1989. i’ have learned a lot from this group and i treasure it. God Bless and Thank you.
customer complain is part of your business..handle it with care…more complains mean more business opportunity. Sometime make a sweet talk to your customers para mas mapalapit ka sa kanila at mag open sila sayo. Thats wat your mommy did during our time.
Sguru ganyan dn attitude mu
tama.. kailangan mrunong magmange un manager ng mga tao nia… kea nga cia tnawag n manager dapt tratuhin nia ng maayos……
para sa ibang manager jan umayos ayos kau dhil kung anu gnagawa nio babalik din yan xenio……. remember my good karma and bad karma……kung ayaw nion marambo sa brgy ls…. full tank kayo…rambo kaung mga managr na abusado….whooooaaaaaaaaaaa…

palibhasa…….mataas posisyon..kaya ganun ung iba.
I absolutely agree,,,hope that manager will be more responsible to his actions… from my point of view ang ganyan type ng Manager is insecure. Siguru hindi cya graduate even ng college, kc I notice n college level lang yan,,, and wla knowledge sa pag mamanage,,, and I also heard n he is also a CREW dati c Mr. ALcantara,,,kya lang na promote is nag sipsip kahit wlang managerial skills go lang kya palpak,,,Best advice mag aral ka muna brother kc as saying goes “”"LITTLE KNOWLEDGE IS SOOOO DANGEROUS”"feeeling mu ang galing mu na un pla ay Bobols ka rin,,,just imagine kumakain ka tpos makikita mu ang manager how he TREATED HIS CREW,,,,kakakawlang gana.

Actually, they have all the right to stop you from taking pictures. The area is privately owned, which means they set the rules. If they say you can’t bring outside food in, they can send you out. If you go in there bringing a picnic blanket and a tent, they have the discretion to send you out, even if you bought your food from Dell’s.
Just because it’s open to the public, doesn’t mean that the public can do what they want. There’s a difference between public property and publicly accessible. Does your “public” movie theater allow anyone to go in and take pictures and videos inside?
Even being a public property doesn’t mean that the public can do whatever they want. A sidewalk is public property: doesn’t mean you can build your house there; doesn’t mean you can pee all over the sidewalk.
Photographers think that just because they have a camera, no one has any right to stop them. That sense of entitlement is plain bullshit. Having a camera does not give you the authority to overrule the security guard and the rules of the establishment. Just as having a gun does not mean that the security guard can wave it around and boss people.
You can certainly take pictures almost anywhere, such is the freedom of speech. However, other people or establishments also have the right to ask you not to take pictures. And they have the right to ask you to leave if you do not comply. They don’t have the right to take your camera, or your film/memory card. They can’t force you to delete whatever pics you took. You have all the right to not come back to that place.
While you have your rights, the owner or operator of the place have their rights too. As a photographer, you must also be aware of the rights of others.
Being rude while enforcing their policy is a different matter. It’s not illegal to be rude, but it’s just poor PR and business sense.
my na experience
its time to change your attitude…
dapat inaalis na lng sa sa menu nila ung mga sizzlers kc lagi nmng hindi available.. ano b nmng klase yan.. ATTENTION: DELL’S OWNER, check your outlet..laging walang sizzlers sa net quad…
