The best restaurant for me  will depend on many factors. It may not be enough to just be a nice place with nice basement tiles and great furniture. It should also be  cozy and easy to visit and has easy parking space. Most of all, the foods served should taste great. It will help if it’s priced value for money and waiters are friendly. Combine all of these and that’s Abe for me. Foods in Abe’s menu are just simple and classic for me but they all taste good. While not priced cheap, I think they’re worth the price. Their waiters are also friendly but I can’t give them a perfect score yet.

I do not know what happened to my wife that she started to like some Indian cuisines lately. It stated during their company training where some of her expat Indian office mates were having Indian dishes for their lunch and she got curious. That made us to try some authentic Indian cuisines. Can you imagine that we were able to sample what two restaurants have to offer in just one night: one at the Kashmir where I was able to try chicken and beef samosas. Another was in The New Bombay restaurant where I ordered mutton korma. I am not sure if mutton stands for lamb but it tasted like a lamb stew. I like it since I love saucy foods and especially love to eat lamb. It is still the same “Tatoy’s” almost ten years ago, when it used to be a part of my itinerary every time I’d visit Iloilo.

Last night, we thought Neocolors band, one of the famous vocal groups in late 80’s would be having their reunion concert at the Piazza in Mc Kinley Hills. Then I found out later that the said reunion would be scheduled on the following day. But since were already there, we might as well have dinner there. We tried Kuse who’s serving traditional Filipino Cuisine and it never failed as we tried their one kilogram beef baby back ribs and Illongo style kinilaw partnered with their adobo rice. Aside from a cozy place, foods are perfect to those who really want food trip after a long busy week of office office work, nursing or tech jobs.

I am really planning to bring my Belgian brother in-law there next time. I am sure he will like it.
