South China mall developers said that they traveled around the world for two years in search of the right model. And now the mall’s $400 million fantasy land: 150 acres of palm-tree-lined shopping plazas, theme parks, hotels, water fountains, pyramids, bridges and giant windmills were 50,000 to 70,000 shoppers are expected to visit a day.

SM Mall of Asia - Biggest Mall in the Philippines

SM Mall of Asia is the largest shopping mall in the Philippines. It is owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings, under the management of Henry Sy, a Chinese-Filipino business tycoon. He is the richest man in the Philippines today.

The mall was constructed within the reclamation area in Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. A 19.5-hectare reclaimed land, it has a gross floor area of 386,224 square meters.. A roundabout was constructed in the front of the mall with a huge bronze globe. Four buildings interconnected by walkways: the Main Mall, the Entertainment Mall, and the North and South Carpark Buildings.

You can see in the Main mall the shopping and dining establishments and the food court. while Entertainment Mall facing Manila Bay majority open-air is a two-story complex.which has main attractions. Primary of these are the first in the Philippines IMAX theater along with a Director’s Club Theater for intimate screenings (30 La-Z-Boy seats), a Premiere Cinema, and the CenterStage Cinema which can used for live musical concerts and theatrical performances.

The mall features the Philippines’s first Olympic-sized ice skating rink. At 61 by 30 meters, the rink is described as the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia. The mall’s open-air Music Hall directly facing the sea has also held several events, contests and concerts.
