New Nurses

The Nurses Licensure exam result was released a few weeks ago and it turned out that the examination only had 30% passing rates. More and more graduates don’t pass the exam and this means more and more nursing graduates can’t practice their profession as nurses although passing the board exam will not guarantee that you can still have regular job in the hospitals.

Like us many of us, even registered nurses became medical representatives, sales lady and agents, some have buyer jobs and even entered police force.

Hopefully nursing school will really impose strict requirements in accepting incoming students that will take nursing course. They should not accept more students but rather aim for quality nursing graduates after four years.

  • Food Poisoning

I recommended our long time “litson manok” roasted chicken discovery to my cousin just this evening for our dinner. Although I only tried it once before and I liked the taste, and although the taste is still the same but during this time after our dinner I experienced abdominal pain and had a bad bowel later. I am not sure if I am only the one experiencing it although only three of us ate. Hopefully it is not because of the chicken. How I wish this bowel problem will not continue or I will lose weight already and it’s like having adapexin-p already.

  • Weight Gain

It is not shocking or frustrating anymore that every time my friend would see me especially in the month of December to January, they would say that I gained weight. For me it is normal anymore that during this month especially starting November I would really gain five to ten kilograms from my usual weight of 93 kilograms. I don’t need Weight loss pills that work fast since my weight gradually decreases and goes back to it usual weight after these months.

  • Safe Water

Did you know that the scarcity of clean and safe water is one of the big problems in the world? Water is a basic necessity for human life and yet it has become a basic problem of millions of people around the world. Statistics from the World Health Organization said that more than one in six people worldwide or 894 million don’t have access to this amount of safe freshwater. This problem of polluted water and lack of basic sanitation claim the lives of over 1.5 million children every year, mostly from water-borne diseases. United Nation even announced that dirty water is killing more people than wars and other violence.

Sometimes we are not even sure how safe the water that comes out from our faucets is. All the more we are not sure to those bottled and filtered water we bought. We don’t know how safe and clean it has been prepared. It is sometimes better to prepare it by yourself. There’s a lot of solutions for all of this water problem. With the help of a water filter pitcher, we can have something to drink that is scientifically superior to all other brands and best filtering system as it lasts four times longer and removes 99.999% of contaminants.

Hopefully with this we can have clean and safe water that will save millions of lives world wide.

  • Summer Skin Problems

The temperature here in Metro is really quite high. It is really hot temperature ranging from 34-37 degrees. It can really make you crazy especially that the Metro is also experiencing rotating brown outs. This is the best time also to go out of town for outings and swimming. But be careful since sun light can also cause a different kind of skin disease aside from sun burn.

This is also the time when acne came out because of oil face. That it is better to have some sun screen protection and other acne treatment lotion during this time to avoid skin problem during summer.

  • December Health Reminders

December is really the time for everything. Due to many partying expected in this month, it is also considered as the food month. That’s why health authorities also remind us not to over feed our self with too much during this period. With all the parties everywhere from weddings, reunions and office parties, I am sure high cholesterol foods are also present. What is worst is that those people that have already a cholesterol or high blood pressure problems tend to forget about the restriction of foods their doctors have enforced for them.

As we all know lots of heart attack cases happen after this month. If you forgot or intentionally forgot this health reminder, it is better to have term life insurance quotes to make sure your immediate family will not suffer for your negligence of self.

  • Heroism in Times Like This

Although it is really sad to imagine that this calamity happened to us, hundreds of lives vanished and thousands of families lost their homes because of typhoon Ondoy, I am still glad that during this time, we also felt the heroism and the brotherhood at work. People volounteered themselves in the service of those affected by the typhoon. Hopefully this will continue.

According to some reports, the government was already late in serving those who are affected. The Department of National Defense and those its army personnel, the police and even those who are new recruits were called to serve and help in relief and cleaning operations. As expected, diseases will rise after a few days of this calamity. Hopefully, those who are still in nursing school, medicine and those who took up medical coding training courseswill also volunteer their service to those Filipinos who were terribly affected by this calamity.
