Pangasinan and Ilocos Foods

I just came back from more than a week trip in Pangasinan where we also visited Vigan, Ilocos Sur. A week of stay there almost made us try some of their local foods and delicacies and even made some of the foods added to my favorites. Last year, I featured “kilawin.” This year, we had “pigar-pigar”. My brother in-law made me try it and I really liked it. This dish is made of sliced fresh beef meat, liver and fats where they just added some spices and sautéed it with s onions and its up to you if you want it with vegetables. No wonder you can see lots of them selling “pigar-pigar in every corner of Dagupan.

Just make them drain the excess oil to avoid getting pimples and using adult acne treatment later.

  • Aling Idang’s Restaurant

When you happen to drive in Katipunan along White Plains Subdivision and want to eat something Filipino whether for breakfast or lunch, try to drop by Aling Idang’s restaurant in that place. Aside from their winning tapsilog, pancit, and kare kare, the prices are also affordable. The place is not so big and I think it can accommodate only 20 people but it is air conditioned and clean. The food is really great. It is like you are having Branson vacation if you tried it. Silog meals are for only 58 pesos. Pancit is at 60 pesos. Portions are already enough to have a great meal.

    Belgian Chocolate

For me, there’s no one else in the world that can exceed the original Belgian made chocolate when it comes to the delicious taste of chocolate. Once you tried it, you won’t come back to the old ones you used to have which tend to be unhealthy with loads of hydrogenated fate. A Belgian chocolate usually contains at least 60% pure cocoa. It seems like you can exchange an Ardeli’s or a Leonida’s for instance, for a Sony Sony VAIO. If you have tried it, it is like you will not be interested in other imported chocolates in the market today.

  • While I am dreaming for hp desktop computers, new DSLR camera and wide lcd screen TV, my wife Denice is craving for Mexican foods these days. She always wanted to visit Mexicali again and when we saw new Mexican restaurant opened in Boni High, she could not let the day pass without giving it a try.

For me there’s nothing better than its steak insaladas. Sadly a medium order is not good enough for me. I should make it a double size next time.

    Kamayan Restaurant

I think I need to take sleeping pills and over the counter sleeping pill because I am so excited to have buffet lunch again in Kamayan restaurant in EDSA. We had our lunch their last weekend. If we will have a buffet most of the food served in a buffet either have pork or seafood which we do not eat for religious reasons. So we just ordered our favorite kare kare and pancit canton.

After we ordered my wife tried to roam around to out what the restaurant offers for buffet and she saw that it includes kaldereta, beef and fish dishes. We regret going for the ala carte so next week we will check first what are served in a buffet table before deciding what to do.

    Yoshinoya

Finally my wife succeeded in letting me and my son try her favorite beef meal at the Yoshinoya restaurant. She says that a year ago this used to be her office’s favorite food asked for delivery. We tried its branch in Greenhills and I’m happy that the restaurant serves red ginger that goes well with beef. I told myself to cut back on fats and meat on my diet and I have even been searching for top 10 diet pills but what is once in a while for? I will behave tomorrow.

    Bulalo and Organic Egg

How true is it that bone marrow, organic egg and whey milk can treat high cholesterol problem? to his patient with cholesterol problem? I heard a doctor say this in a radio program and this is a bit controversial because what we know is that bone marrow and egg are forbidden by some doctors because of their high cholesterol content.

On the other hand, it’s common knowledge that whey milk helps build muscles fast. He even cited that those doctors that came out studies about the cholesterol content of eggs and marrow died young while he remains one living proof about the effects of these foods. At more than 80 years old now, he can still manage to climb building floors without using elevators.

    Now can we beat this?
