Motorcycle Lane

I am glad to hear the news about putting motorcycle lane along EDSA and hopefully the helmet law as well along with other motorcycle-related laws and ordinances will be properly implemented. As we all know, sometime these laws and ordinances are just used for corruption purposes of some police or traffic enforcers. Hopefully these laws would be created and used also for setting the safety standards of motorcycle. Currently, it is believed that these are not within the safety standards, thus, it could resulted to accidents. Similar situation is observed for the standards on helmets and other protective gears. Cheap  helmets do not protect you. It may be better to buy expensive one like scorpion motorcycle helmets than to die.

  • Summertime Blues

It’s summertime in the United States but not here in the Philippines. In the US, this is the time when usually students get happy. This is the time where they travel, that’s why after this time,rv repair is mostly needed. But as we all know they suffered and are still suffering from economic problems for the past years already. I wonder how they cope with those things that they previously are used to do. There is the rumored downgrading of some credit companies. I was able to watch segment news comparing US and China present economy, where China is developing their industrial capacity where they are building more bridges, speed trains and some advanced facilities while America is producing chop sticks for China.

  • Manila Auto Salon 2010

I heard about the upcoming Manila Auto Salon Show this coming weekend from November18-21, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia. It is a yearly event where local and international manufacturers, distributors and dealers of the automotive industry display their latest car models. This year they will also be showcasing Custom Car Show and the Sport Truck Show with the Bike Show and second Mobile Electronics and Technology Show. I usually visit every car show to bring also my son who loves cars so much.

I remember we even got an accident last year on our way to a car show in Megamall. Luckily we don’t have that heavy damage where we are properly taken cared of by our car insurance company. That’s how important car insurance is, so it is better to have even just a cheap car insurance so at least we have peace of mind while driving.

  • Car Air-condition Care

Today is really a tiring day. We just came from having car aircondition cleaning. Imagine its almost six years since we last had it cleaned. I don’t have knowledge on how often it must be cleaned but I know it is a must to have it cleaned regularly. Reasons to maintain it is to ensure maximum cooling inside the car, thus gas is also conserved also. Also, to clean those dust and other allergens of the aircon. What’s funny is that I brought with me my son who really loves cars. The aircon guy offered him to just watch cartoons while waiting but he instead got busy observing those technician on how they do it. I am just scared because tools, clamps and other equipments scattered in the area that could possibly cause an accident.

  • Drug Testing for Bus Drivers

In just one week, two major accidents involving bus resulted to deaths of 42 victims when a passenger bus from Baguio City fell into a 100-foot deep ravine in Benguet province and when three victims died including a former beauty titlist in Bicol. That’s why there are some recommendations to look into the capabilities of those drivers driving public utility vehicles.

Drug testing is one of the requirements before drivers can obtain a license and must also be looked into. Many believe it was really useless. Aside from those testing areas where you can only pay for it to have your drug testing result negative, the drivers about to renew their license will only stop using any drug for a month and already he can get away from it.

It must be random test although it is not permitted by law because every one has a right to refuse. That’s why it must be put into law that especially drivers driving public transport must have undergone truthful drug testing and those found out positive must given a chance to rehabilitate himself or will undergo detoxification like those available rapid opiate detox.

Drivers of public transport should undergo training and extensive examination before given a special drivers license that he is capable of driving. As we all know some of these drivers are only conductors and utility men just practicing to drive. Yet if they paid a certain amount to those corrupt officers in LTO, they can be given a professional drivers license without having to undergo examination and actual driving test. What they overlook is the fact that they are carrying the life of their passengers.

  • I will not let this week pass without bringing my son Kyle to The 2009 Auto Focus Motor Show & Auto Expo in Fort Bonifacio Global City. In this event the winners of the 2009 Auto Focus People’s Choice Awards will be named. The event gathers 15 automobile manufacturers with almost a hundred of their vehicles on display.

I am so excited to see my dream Toyota Hilux pick up truck. I am not sure if it will have the Hilux TRD here in the country and truck accessories available for customizing. Hopefully after in our visit later in the afternoon, I could feature some of the photos of the car displays on the show.

  • Feast Experiences

One of our religious feasts we have that entails preparation is our yearly Feast of Tabernacles. This is the most enjoyable feast we have every year not counting its religious relevance where it is believed that the return of Almighty Yahweh’s Son and our Saviour Yahshua Messiah will take place during this occasion. This is where we gather together in a chosen place to have temporary dwelling. We were blessed spiritually because of the blessing that we have attended the feast but we did not really enjoy the place because of the typhoon that hit  us during the week that we celebrated it.

We also didn’t enjoy to much the resort where we stayed because of the rain that prevented us to mingling with each other. The other brethren didn’t make it because of the calamity.

Hopefully next year we will have the most enjoyable one. My prayer is that someday, most of the brethren will have their own motor home, and there will just be motorhome towing that will be brought to each motorhome to the chosen place since ever year, we celebrate it anyway.
