I was really amazed seeing that some of the beautiful places in Negros were featured in a tourist magazine. Among them are some of the old houses, Silay City and Nature Village in Talisay. I last visited Natures Village more than seven years ago when the place was just operating. That’s why I am so excited to see how it is now. I am so excited to see new beautiful places, new resorts and hotels with new modern furniture especially now with a new airport.

I am sure two weeks of vacation will not really be enough to see all the tourist spots, beautiful resorts, new bars and hang outs.

I am now excited to see new places in Negros. It has been more than three years that I did not get a chance to go home. Hopefully I could visit most of the beautiful places in my native province at least to see how it is now. There are lots of beautiful places in my place that I could proudly share with you.

Hopefully during our vacation in December I could spend time visiting these places. I will take some pictures and share them with you. I am sure there are lots of my contemporaries who don’t have the chance to see Negros for quite a long time and hopefully the pictures could help.

It has been a dream of mine and my wife’s to go out of the country at least once a year. That’s why we do our best to save up, not only because we both love to travel but also because we find pleasure in seeing beautiful places.

Since it is semestral break among students and in line with the upcoming long holidays, most of the families living in the Metro are now packing things to have a vacation in their respected provinces. As a Filipino tradition,  some people also pay tribute to their loved ones who already passed away.

I love Mediterranean foods especially the way they cook lambs. When my brother in-law invited us to try a Greek inspired restaurant in Edsa Shangrila.

The place is really cozy and I thought that you don’t need to be in Greece to get that feeling of being in Thira Island in Santorini.

We were just shocked when somebody shouted “Opa!”. At first, we thought that there was somebody in a commotion but suddenly we just realized that it was just a food tradition where they would be shouting this expression when they serve menus on fire such as sizzling dishes.

Must-try dishes are tzatsiki for starter, yiouvetsi, pastitsio and roka salata for the main course. But my favorite of all dishes would be its chicken gyro with Greek roasted potatoes. Kudos to Chef Robby Goco for this yummy offering.

One of our religious feasts we have that entails preparation is our yearly Feast of Tabernacles. This is the most enjoyable feast we have every year not counting its religious relevance where it is believed that the return of Almighty Yahweh’s Son and our Saviour Yahshua Messiah will take place during this occasion. This is where we gather together in a chosen place to have temporary dwelling. We were blessed spiritually because of the blessing that we have attended the feast but we did not really enjoy the place because of the typhoon that hit  us during the week that we celebrated it.

We also didn’t enjoy to much the resort where we stayed because of the rain that prevented us to mingling with each other. The other brethren didn’t make it because of the calamity.

Hopefully next year we will have the most enjoyable one. My prayer is that someday, most of the brethren will have their own motor home, and there will just be motorhome towing that will be brought to each motorhome to the chosen place since ever year, we celebrate it anyway.
