My brother in law will visit the Philippines again and is now so busy searching for a two-bedroom fully furnished suite for him to stay. Since he prefers a place where he could prepare food and where we, his family here could also stay, we scouted serviced apartments like the Astoria Plaza, Lancaster Suites, Legend Villas and we are still on search for more.

Since he will stay here for almost two weeks we always wanted something that would be memorable for him. Hope you could suggest a place you know, as long as it is a two-bedroom and fully furnished suite, with kitchen, a nice  home theatre seating and with amenities like gym, swimming pool and gym. Preferably along Ortigas or Makati areas only. Thanks!

  • European Tour

After a long and grueling preparation, we finally survived our interview with the Belgian Embassy. We hope and pray hard that we will be given a chance to visit Belgium by midyear. We already have a list of marked places to visit in this European side of the world once our Schengen Visa will be approved. I am excited to share with you photos and stories we will have in Europe.

My sister in-law also reserved some connecting flights where we will be able to stop over three places. She suggested that to savor each place. Hopefully we could stay for some more time to feel what it’s like to be in Hong Kong and London even though we would not go outside London Airport. At least we could stay in a hotel like that of San Diego airport hotel and get a glimpse of the experience of being there. Help us pray to Almighty Father Yahweh that dream travel will come into reality.

  • Weekend Lunch at PVL Restaurant

Have you ever been to a one-stop haven for the Pinoy and Chinese food aficionados? We just did one Sunday when my husband suggested that we try to have lunch at PVL located at 84-L Lopez corner F. Ortigas Sts. in Mandaluyong City.

We first came to hear about PVL when PVL was featured in “Kay Susan Tayo” TV show. It is reportedly popular for its giant siopao.

PVL consists of clusters food is the Good Eats outlets that combines Filipino and Chinese delicacies and caters to all socio-demographic strata of the market within a single block.

For the general masses, there is the Good Eats serving Pinoy dishes and Chinese-inspired PVL Noodle House for noodles and dimsum. The PVL Food Center is the high-end fine dining restaurant. There are also grocery areas, fruit stand, pasalubong and dessert areas via the Mini Max and Pasalubong, atbp.

And of course, there is the PVL Grill House — the one we actually decided we’d have lunch at. Our menu choices were sinigang na maya maya sa miso, adobong kambing, bottomless iced tea and cups after cups of rice. We had watermelon and chocolate maja blanca for dessert.

I realize that a city dweller doesn’t need to go very far to get that “being in the resort” feeling. Try having lunch at the PVL Grill House and you will know what I mean. It’s probably the lay-out of the restaurant and the outdoor set-up. What’s great is that the place has lots of air humidifier and fans to address the summer heat. Perfect place to have lunch this summertime.

  • Pre Nuptial Photos in Boracay

I already saw the printed results of the pre-nuptial photos I took for my sister in-law and her fiance (and now husband) in Boracay. Although I am generally satisfied, I still really want to make them look better. I am still dreaming of owning an external flash. If only I have that, maybe I could make the outputs better.

Maybe I should save enough to buy it for her wedding. I really value every photo I have taken even during the time that I was still using film camera. I also bought an album not just for photos but also for the negatives. Now that I am using digital camera, I always see to it to have it save on my hard drive as well as burn it on CD. I also upload it online and hopefully I will have it saved on large capacity and fast compact flash drive. Captured unforgettable memories can only be taken once that’s why I put importance t it.

  • Neo Spa – Free Spa from Boracay

I love the spa experience but I could only have spa in my life if it was free and only given to me because it is expensive. I’ll never forget my very first spa was in Boracay in Mandala Spa. During that time, only a few offered spas in the island. I knew someone who works in Mandala before that’s why I had it there.

My second spa experience was in The Spa in Greenbelt. It was also a gift from my wife. I also received a free spa session at The Nurture Spa. It was a gift for my sister in law but since she was pregnant at that time, she gave it to us.

The latest spa I had was during our recent trip to Boracay we had complimentary spa session from Neo Spa of Pearl of the Pacific Resort, the place were we stayed. You will love to have it in Neo Spa because you will have it in the room where you open the blinds, not the discount blinds thus you will see the white sand of Boracay because it is located at the beach front. As usual, you get a free lemon grass juice after. I wonder when I could have free spa session again.

  • We already saw a Mang Inasal branch in Makati Avenue a long time ago. That was the only branch we used to know but we never tried to eat there because we felt the location was not so convenient for us especially when you have a kid. That’s because it was located along the busy street corner of Jupiter and Makati Avenue.

I was surprised the outlet exists in Boracay as well and location is conducive so we went in groups because we would like only that my sister in-law’s Belgian fiancé can try to eat Chicken barbeque Illonggo version. We first didn’t notice that the outlet has unlimited rice promo if you will order the legs and breast part of the inasal. Our Belgian visitor noticed it first. That was the beginning of our many visits to Mang Inasal. We want to eat Chicken Inasal frequently anyway.

The unlimited rice promo of the outlet is really a hit in the masses. Thus, Mang Inasal just opened branch in Kimston’s mall near Guadalupe Market.

    Cleansing Prolongs Life

Do you have a car? How frequently do you have it checked generally and have it oil changed? I am sure if you really love your car you will usually have a general check up and will change oil every three months or every 5000 kilometers. This is to make your car in proper running order. Having to change oil regularly will also help your car to be always on its top performance and most of all will prolong the life of your car engine.

Hopefully you will also do it in your own body, too. We also need to have regular cleansing to detoxify regularly your body and all you organs to keep all the toxins away or they will do further damage to our system. This procedure is called Colon Cleansing. As we all know these body pollutants and toxins we ingest from the unhealthy food we eat can cause many ailments. Sometimes we even don’t know that these toxins can also cause constipation, gas and bloating, weight gain, fatigue, skin and hair problems and even the most severe problems in the future.

Colon Cleansing can help us eliminate toxins and chemicals that we inhale and ingest everyday of our life. Thus these toxins accumulate in our body cell and organs that will cause health problems in the future. So if you want to prolong your life and have your body organs function healthily, you should regularly cleanse your body.
