Special Gifts for the New Year

I am very sure every one of us want a more prosperous new year. With hopes and dreams that every wish we have will come true, we are optimistic that every promise we make to change for the better will be accomplished, be it on our health or personal changes. Hopefully with in our hearts, we can stick to our new year’s resolutions and live better lives.

I have stopped having new year’s resolutions since I felt I couldn’t keep up with it anyway. But all I wanted for my years are to be more fruitful, have peace and sustained happiness. I will welcome any challenges I will encounter and be more thankful to our Almighty Father Yahweh for what ever blessing he will bestow upon me next year.

All I want to have are happy and healthy family. I am already contented with my life. I am sure it is already the best gift I ever had and I’m not too big with material things. I am happy with the life already given to me by our Heavenly Father. Of course, there are specific stuff I still wish for. Holiday frames from Zenni, a new cellphone, camera among others. But I must not forget the blessings I already have which include food each day, the air I breath and the life He gave me. This is a special gift shared to us by the will of our Heavenly Father and we will be thankful for it.

I am wishing you to be happy as we welcoming the year 2009. Happy new year!

  • Travel and Out of Town Preparation

Since we are touring our visitor last week, we do not know where to stay or to spend the night. So we decided to go home first then to stay in a hotel near to the place were we were going. We brought extra shirt, clothes and my son’s catimini, milk, vitamins among others at the back of the car. This is for the preparation for out of town travel or overnight stays.

It is better to be always prepared because we usually go without a plan. We just go out and travel whenever we feel like it so better to have these things ready.

  • Wipeout AutoCraft – Auto Detailing

We all love our own cars and I am no exception. I am sure every one of us is proud when we are having ride in a car that shines and clean both on exterior and interior parts.

When I was a kid, I watched my grandpa driving and saw my uncle pamper their cars by washing, cleaning and waxing them. I thought then to myself that the day will come when I would have my own car. I would really treat it the way a father loves his kids. As one automobile advertisement said, it would be “my brand new love’’.

I remember when I first took good care of our van even though the family owned it and I just started learning how to drive. I would always see to it that it was always clean and shiny that even flies could slide when they come close.

The one I am driving right now is a four year old white Toyota Revo. Even though I care for this car so much, my problem is that I don’t have a covered parking space. We know sun, rain and dirt have big effects on the exterior of a car. Even though I often wash and wax the car, it would not stay as shiny as it used to be.

As a result, stain and minor scratches could be obviously seen. I even wanted to have a wash over paint of it to make it look new. Luckily I discovered auto detailing. It is performing an extremely thorough cleaning, polishing and waxing of an automobile, both inside and out, to produce a show-quality level or almost bring back the beauty of a car as it was new.

Exterior detailing could be claying, polishing, correcting of paint defects and waxing. It does not include painting. It only involves thorough cleaning that will bring your car back into its maximum beautiful appearance. It is cheaper than when you have your car painted again. It will be best if your car doesn’t have paint corrosion or damage even though detailing could include rust proofing and undercoating.

Two weeks ago, I was searching for the best auto detailing services that I could have for the white Revo. Aside from I could have it at much less price I could even see much the best effect of it. I been torn between the two auto detailing shops in terms of price and speed of service as detailing could be time consuming process.

I chose the one of a higher price and almost have my car detailed over night than the other of less cost but would have my car detailed for only five hours. I was really satisfied with the way the white Revo was detailed. It looked nearly like it was four years ago. Each and every tiny space that they could clean, they really did.

I have it done in Wipeout AutoCraft along Bayani Road Fort Bonifacio Taguig. Just talk to Japs if you want to have your car detailed. Everything seems negotiable to him. You will experience the work of a car show winner for classic cars restoration for 1967 VW Bettle. 1973, VW Karmann Ghia and 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer GLi. Anyway they offer not just detailing. They could also have your car have body painting, waxing, electrical and wiring services and carwash. If you’re lucky, Japs may even give you a discount as he also did to Suplado.

  • My Special Holiday Gift

My wife sings and plays the piano. It goes without saying that she is really a music lover. One of her dreams is to own a grand piano someday and it is also my dream to give her what she has been dreaming of.

For now, she is fond of collecting wooden or figurine miniatures of musical instruments. She has a miniature grand piano, sax and guitar. I am thinking that the best holiday gift ideas that could make her happy would be additional musical items to her collection.

Every time I have a chance to visit one place or shop around I always look for some miniature musical instrument that I could give her especially if there some memorable moments to celebrate. That’s why I am so amazed when I was able to see crystal grand piano with bench from Crystal World crystal figurines. This could be a perfect gift to her this holiday season to add to her collection. This will be something different and special from all of her collections which I know will really make happy.

I know this gift is a precious one for my wife but at the same time, I could let this holiday pass without a gift for my son as well. I am sure he will be very happy also since he loves collecting die cast cars. I am sure this Crystal World’s Web-Only Specials classic car will do. Anyway they have available gifts under $50 crystal collectibles, too.

  • Thank you Topgear Magazine

I want to thank the wonderful people of TopGear Magazine Philippines especially to the editor-in-chief, Mr. Vernon Sarne. For the second time around as of December 2008 issue, my son’s photos were published in the Letter of the Month section.

I could never explain the feeling when you see your son happy seeing his picture featured in his beloved TopGear Magazine, the magazine he loves to collect and read since he was two years old and continues collecting for almost three years now.

My son always brings the December 2008 issue and shows the magazine to his friends.

To Vernon and all the people behind TopGear, more power and thanks again!
