Car Lover

Now I realized why my son Kyle loves car so much. He’s not just a car enthusiast but he also loves to modify cars. He loves to see car engines and accessories, too.

It makes me remember that when I was still a kid, I would always visit my grand father’s car shop. I used to play there and watched those people fixing trucks.

I remember he used to call my attention when I was already inside the tool rooms playing those car tools, industrial clamps and some engine parts inside where my grand mother took good care of me. She would get mad because I could be getting dirty with those oils and lubricants in the shops.

Until here for now as we are on our way to car exhibit in Boni High already.

  • A Place to Visit in Pampanga

I know there are lots of places to visit in Pampanga, but I don’t know where to go first. We were searching for a place to stay since we have plans to visit my “ninong” (godfather) who is living in Angeles.

The last time we visited him, we were brought to Mimosa Leisure Estate and Fontana Leisure Park and Casino for day trips. Both are located within the Clark Special Economic Zone but we were not able to stay overnight.

This time, we are planning to stay overnight that’s why we were searching for a hotel or resort in an affordable but comfortable place. I saw and turned between two resorts: the Villa Alfredo’s Resort in San Fernando and Woodland Park Resort in MacArthur Highway Dau, Pampanga.

Hopefully we could visit these two places so that we can compare which will the best place to stay.

  • Savings and Coupon on Vacuums

We Filipinos are great when it comes to ingenuity and ability to adapt. Allow me to brag a bit as I’m taking me for example. I am a nurse by profession and don’t even have a background in basic electrical education and yet I am the one fixing some minor electrical problems in the house and even trouble shooting some of our damaged appliances.

My aunt saw me fixing my own computer, washing machine, electric fans and our old vacuum cleaner when we had the chance to visit her. She told me that she had a lot of old appliances stocked in her garage she asked if I could look into them since some of them were just newly bought. So when I checked them there, I saw a lot of appliances and a couple of vacuum cleaners. One of them is just new. When I opened it, I discovered that some are still functional but just need to change belts while some of the bags are really damaged by some pests in the garage.

Luckily, EzVacuum.com, the largest and well known vacuum cleaner and accessories dealer online has all the available parts I needed. They have available vacuum cleaners bags belts filters brushrolls machines at 10% discount. With very low shipping charge compared to other dealers, they have available coupon code EZVAC10 in all orders over US $20. Save on parts you also save for not buying another new one.

  • There is a lot of speculation on what are really behind the present terrorist attack in Mumbai. But what is really true here is not another 150 innocent lives and more that 350 wounded are now suffering as a consequence of this attack. Considering 7 places which include the Oberoi hotel and Taj Mahal hotel, two Mumbai five-star hotels with a lot of foreign and local tourists inside are targeted by the terrorist gun men.

This is another big blow to India’s economy and security. Hopefully the problem will be addressed soon. With prayers, no other civilians living will be added to those previously reported which include at least six foreigners, three top law enforcement agents, including the chief of the Mumbai police’s anti-terror squad, and 14 police officers.

At this moment, commando attacks and fighting erupted in Chabad house, a Jewish center believed that there three to four terrorist gun men inside. Hopefully all issues will be settled and people’s safety will not be compromised again as India’s government troops are now starting to move on.

  • Oliver’s Super Sandwich

When I heard about the health benefits you will get from drinking lemon grass juice, the only place that came to my mind is the Oliver’s Super Sanwiches because it serves healthy fruit juices including lemon grass juice.

My wife always dares me to try drinking the juice, since I already tried various fruit juices combined with bitter gourd, ginger and garlic. She was sure I could also afford to drink the lemon grass juice. Every time we are able to pass by that branch, I am really tempted to try. But I always say how about to try blackberry juice from a Blackberry plants first. They have almost the same health benefits and nutrients anyway.

Once upon a long ago, we climbed the highest mountain peak in one of Negros Occidental’s hidden wonders called “Tinagong Dagat” (Hidden Sea) located in Barangay Patag Silay City. I am not really a mountaineer and we never expected how really hard it was to climb the mountain. It was a week after a storm hit the province so the usual trek was destroyed and it was really hard to climb since the way was so slippery. We were not sure about doing it all over again unless we must secure prohormones first.

But you cannot explain the feeling when you have reached the top and able to see the beauty of the hidden lake on the top of the mountain. We spent the night at the mountain the next day. We took the other way in going down back home and we were able to see the other side of the province.

  • Fabrica – Negros Occidental

I was searching for a new place to visit in my hometown Sagay City when I happened to read Fabrica at Wikipedia. The FI Faraon Institute is one of the old high schools located in Fabrica where my mother graduated her high school days. The same school was where the actress Susan Roces also graduated.

I remember my father used to tell me that they will walk almost three kilometers from home just to be in school because he also studied one high school year in FI and only few houses were seen in the place.

The school was surrounded by sugar cane plantation where you can even play rc helicopter because of a large open surroundings. But what I’m proud of is that according to Wikipedia, during its long boom years from 1910 to 1976, Fabrica was the most developed in terms of infrastructure, water system, electricity and lighting facilities compared to other barrios in the Philippines. Fabrica had two large movie houses then and one of it was owned by my later grandfather.
